DocuQuest^© Personal

DocuQuest Personal is a single-user version of DocuQuest that provides a user at a Windows personal computer the ability to manage and search very large (gigabytes) collections of documents (files).  DocuQuest Personal seemlessly integrates with other applications like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Corel WordPerfect, Adobe Reader and Acrobat, and other office systems to improve personal productivity.

DocuQuest Network is a multi-user version of DocuQuest that provides all the features of DocuQuest Personal for each network-based user, plus it provides for the creation, indexing and searching of network-based DocuQuest Libraries. Built-in Security facilities permit at least two levels of DocuQuest users:

• Administrator(s) that have the ability to create DocuQuest network-based Libraries, as well as index and search them, and
  
  
• Regular users that only have read-only rights to DocuQuest network Libraries. Hence, regular users have full rights to their own personal Libraries, but can only search and retrieve documents from a DocuQuest network Library. They cannot create, delete or index DocuQuest network Libraries, this capability being reserved for DocuQuest administrators.
  

The Network version of DocuQuest also includes a stand-alone, background utility, called DocuQuest Index Server,  that is used to periodically index DocuQuest Libraries.  This utility can be run from the Windows Task Scheduler hourly, daily, or on any schedule that is appropriate to keep the DocuQuest indexes current.  The Index Server is an incremental index utility that only indexes new or changed documents.

DocuQuest Network is not available over the Internet.

• Approximately 2.5 MB of disk space for full installation.
  
• A Microsoft Windows network or a NetWare network
